Ward Christmas Party

We had the Ward Christmas party a while ago but oh well, it was fun and I need to post cute pictures. Tyson and Melissa had to work so James and I brought Cade with us. They had a yummy dinner, and after we all ate they had a country band or brothers. They sang some fun songs, and even got our Bishop up there playing instruments with them! It was so funny.

James sported his Bronco Santa hat and Sam couldn't be out done so he is showing off his BYU shirt. This is Chelsie and Allie so cute!
After the fun music, Sister Nelson read the kids a Christmas story about Christ around the Christmas tree.
Next SANTA Came!! The kids were so excited. We all got in line to sit on his lap. This is me with Cade and Allie, waiting for SANTA!
Allie was nervous but decided to be brave and sit on Santa's lap. She was still a little unsure about the whole thing, but she did it. She told Santa she wants presents for Christmas. It was cute.
Cade was so excited to see Santa he kept trying to crawl up me to get to him, while waiting in line. Well, when his turn came he screamed bloody murder and started bawling! Santa understood and gave him a bag of candy anyway.
We had such a fun time, and enjoyed being with our ward family.

Nativity / Breath of Heaven

This video was one that a friend posted and I think it is wonderful!!! I tried to figure out how to post the video on my Blog but I couldn't, so you all just have to use the link. What an amazing time of year Christmas is. It really makes you reflect on our Savior and Mary. What a strong courageous woman.

Thanksgiving

Well, it's obviously been a long time since I posted. Sorry everyone I really don't have an excuse but I finish my semester at school and I had my inlaws in town for thanksgiving so I haven't had a lot of time. Anyway whine whine whine I know, I'll just get to the fun. We had a great time with James family! His Mom and Dad and sister Tori came, along with his Brother Aaron and his wife Cara with their three boys, Alec, Baron, and Chaz. Jason his youngest brother has been living with us for a few weeks so he was here also. So count them up thats 11 people including us celebrating Thanksgiving in our apt. It was really fun!
They all got into town Tuesday night. Wednesday we all just hung out and talked. Wednesday night we decided to have a mini birthday party for Baron and Chaz, since James and I and Jason weren't there and wern't going to be there. Baron Loves Cowboy stuff. We all call him Cowboy, so Jason James and I decided to get him pop guns. Chaz loved his presents. We also decided to give Aaron and Cara their baby gift. I made this blanket for their baby girl, that will soon be here.
Baron was shotting me, I don't know how because it looks like he has both eyes closed. :)
Alec and Baron had a blast playing with Barons pop guns.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS!!
James was excited to use his Transformer tablecloth for the party. Earlier in the day the boys and Tori helped me make their Birthday cakes.

**************************
Thursday was Thanksgiving, of course. James had reserved a church in our stake for us to go to and have room to play. Well we met a Bishop there so he could let us in, we were surprised to see 8 tables all set up in the Gym for Thanksgiving. The Bishop called around to see who it could be, and couldn't figure it out. So we just went on and moved the tables out in the hallway so we could play. The other group finally showed up at 1pm. They were mad when they saw the tables gone. They calmed down after we told them they were just in the hallway. Then we told them we would have our dinner in the Relief Society room and they could have the GYM for their meal. We also told them that we had the Church reserved online and thats how you have to do it now. They were ok about it and later the Grandma came up to me and hugged me and thanked our family for being so flexible. It was just a bad situation no one wanted to make the other family have a bad thanksgiving. James did most of the talking and handled the situation so well. I was so greatful to have him because I know I wouldn't have handled it as well. Long story short it all worked out! We moved into the Relief Society room and had our Thanksgiving.

This is the main part of our Thanksgiving feast, Yumm. The food was great, thanks everyone for doing your part it made it all so much fun. We set up 2 tables and Aaron ended up at the kid table, (lucky) They all had olives on their fingers and Aaron had a roll. It looks like a donut.
Heres the adult table. This was their second picture and James decided to be a tough guy in this one, thats why he's pulling that face.
After we ate we started making Christmas Advent Calendars. The Petersen side of my family always does this after thanksgiving. You take saran wrap and tie pieces of candy for each day leading up to Christmas and then you cut off a candy each day and hang them up in your house. The kids loved it and so did the adults. I forgot to buy wrapping ribbon and so we used yarn, and it doesn't look as cute or work as well. But it was still fun. Heres Chaz and Baron tying Barons.
Heres Linda and Aaron and the boys tying another one. Tori was so shy about her picture being taken but she did let me, and she looks so pretty.
After they were all tied they put them around their necks and posed for me.

This is some of the aftermath of the Thanksgiving feast.
After we went back into the Gym and played Basketball, and the kids ran. We also got the ads for Black Friday. We stayed until 7pm, and had a great time!
*****************
Friday was crazy! We all stayed up way to late Thursday playing games and got up at 4:30am to go shopping. Jim and James and Linda, Cara and I all were the crazy ones. Aaron did get out there later on so like 7am. We shopped and shopped. We finally got home at 2:30 pm ya thats 10 hours of shopping. We were all so tired that we fell asleep as soon as we got home. Later we rented Get Smart. That movie is hilarious for anyone who hasn't seen it. This is a picture of Jason and the boys. He was helping them pass a level on their PSP. This video is of Alec, he has this new funny thing he calls crazy legs! You'll just have to watch to find out what it is :)

****************

Saturday we decided to take everyone Ice Skating. Jim and Linda decided to stay home and enjoy the quite. Cara was only able to watch because of being pregnant. They were all so excited to go. This is Chaz waiting to get his skates tightened. James had fun taking the nephews around. Chaz loved it but he only wanted to hold on to your hands and then he would just lounge back. It was so funny. Down farther I have a picture of him with his dad lounging.
Alec was amazing on the ice! He took off and had a great time. He told us later "I don't know why we went skating we were only there a few minutes. " James said "no we were there over 2 hours" Alec was amazed. I guess time flies when your having fun.
Baron had fun, but I think he expected to get out there and skate like a pro. He was frustrated with how hard it was, but he did a great job!
Here is Aaron with Chaz. Chaz had fun, but he was a workout for whoever took him around.
Here 's Tori Ice Skating, she did so well I was really impressed with how she just took off! After we were all so exhausted we came home and had pizza and watched movies.

Sunday we all said a sad goodbye, and they all headed home to Colorado. We had a great time and loved having all the family over!
Sorry this post was huge!

***TWILIGHT*** midnight girls night

I went with a group of friends to the midnight showing of TWILIGHT last night!! There were 20 of us total in the group. The first 2 in our group got to the theater at 8:00 and it was already packed. I showed up at 9 and we saved seats for the rest of the group. This is a picture of a couple people in our group. Of course in a theater with a bunch of passionate women there were a few tense moments. There was a couple huffy women who wanted our seats but we held our ground. They went and got the manager and she told us it was state law that you can't save seats. The thing was that we had all the tickets with us so it didn't matter that the people weren't there yet. Anyway the manager got really mad and stomped off crying. I felt really bad but man she was really rude. Overall every one was really nice and the whole theater counted down each hour. When the movie finally stated you would have thought Edward was actually in the theater with all the screaming. This is a little video I took of the screaming. It was crazy!!

The movie was really good. I think it was a low budget film, because some of the special effects were cheesy, but that was ok I expected it. The best part of the movie was in the Ballet Studio!! I can't wait for the next one to come out. It was a little weird to see the story unfold and to compare how you imagined it happening to how the producer imagined it. Somethings were the same and others wern't. It still was very fun. I heard that at some theaters people had prom dresses on and other were having a blood drive. I thought the blood drive was creative.

FUN with GUNS (I mean responsible :)

Well this last weekend James and I hung out with our friends Beaver and Jeanine. We went to Lewiston and shot clay pigeons and what ever else we could find. They have a couple shotguns and hand guns. It was great especially because James has been wanting a hand gun so he could shot a couple different ones and really see what he likes. We just had a good time.

This is Jeanine with one of the shot guns. The area we shot at is specifically made for shooting, that cement block is actually a little cave for the automatic clay pigeons. The area was really fun, I think someone worked on it for a Eagle Project.
Beaver was the best at the thrower. I'm not sure if thats what it's really called but it's how we threw the clay pigeons. Perfect form! Jeanine and I struggled at throwing. It was sad! I felt bad for the Guys because they couldn't get a good target.
Here is James shooting one of the hand guns. He looks so concentrated! This is a picture of one of the clay pigeons. Its hard to see but this one has a hole in the middle. Not to brag but I shot that hole straight through with one of the hand guns! Yup thats me the straight shooter! :)
Thanks Beav and Jeanine, we had a great time!

Colorado, Scentsy, Volleyball

Last weekend James and I made a quick trip to Colorado to see my family and to have a couple Scentsy Parties. We had a great time at the parties ! Thanks to all of you who came!! While we were there it was also the YW Volleyball tournament. Larissa 's team did great! They had so much fun. Here are a couple pictures of the events. Chantal came down from Ft Collins and we had a blast reminiscing about the good old days when we won the Volleyball Tournament. Not to brag or anything :P This is a great picture of Larissa with a perfect volley! She is quite the volleyball player!!
This is just a silly picture of Kirsten at the tournament. They had Italian Day at school and they gave everyone mustaches. I thought this picture was great!!Here is a cute little video I took of the girls doing their cheer before the big game. I think they took 3rd or 2nd I'm not sure.

The grand prize was of course a chocolate candy bar. Yummy.

Halloween !!!

We had a fun Halloween! Our Ward had a Trunk Or Treat, and served Chili. It was yummy! We decorated our car and had fun seeing our primary kids and our scouts. After we went to Tyson and Melissa's friends house. They had made a little haunted house. We then played games. We played this new game called Killer Bunnies. It was crazy but we had a good time. Yeah for Halloween!
As you hopefully can tell I was Alice in Wonderlandand James was Paul Bunyon. We really didn't pick our costumes a whole lot. Octobers Pack Meeting Theme for scouts was Adventures in Books and we were asked to dress like a book Character. So we decided to be the same thing for Halloween especially since Pack Meeting was Tuesday and Halloween was Friday. Our costumes weren't to hard thank Heavens. I found my dress at DI and I made the apron, and James just had to buy a few things.
We had to add Kade in, he was a puppy! He was tired of his puppy hat so he didn't want to put it on. But he was really cute and had a blast getting tons of candy.

Fall Yard Work

Thursday James had the day off and decided we needed to clean up Diego's area and our Garden, before it starts to get really cold and snow. After we cleaned that all up, Melissa and Kade asked if we could cut down 2 of their trees also. So James did, he was really sweet to do that for them. We then hauled it to the dump in 3 loads. After all that fun Melissa made us dinner as a thank you. The yard looked so much better! Heres some fun Pictures of the events.
Heres Kade in the trees James was trying to cut down. Heres Melissa trying to entertain Kade so James could get it done. He thought it was great to climb the ladder and jump off like Spiderman!

Pumpkin Walk

North Logan has an annual pumpkin walk. Different groups get together and set up scenes and use pumpkins and vegetables. It is a ton of fun. I know I have a lot of pictures but believe me I cut a lot out. This one was my favorite. It was Noah's Ark, and each animal was made out of Vegetables. Cute!!

Heres Kung Fu Panda. I thought they did a great job. And Below are the Incredibles.

I'm sure you all can get the Andy Griffith Show. I loved Aunt Bea.

At the end of the walk they have wooden portraits for you to take pictures with.

James as Yoda and Myself as Ariel. Aren't we so gorgeous!!
We went with Tyson and Melissa and Kade their little boy. He wanted to fly the plane so bad!
Heres my favorite Disney Princess! James did a great job getting into Character. Who knows what I was doing smiling at the camera, I'm suppose to be asleep! Oh well, I'm a blonde. :)
For all you political buffs. Heres McCain in his rocker.
And Obama in his Crib. They did a great job with these too.

These were amazing, they are kind of hard to see but see if you can figure out who they all are.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
