It's not to late

Hey everyone, if you are still interested in the Biggest Loser Competition let me know, we will stop accepting people on Sunday so thats January, 11th. We have about 6 couples so far and about 20 individuals. Just let me know.

Contest

Objective: Lose the largest percent of your starting body weight.

It’s a new year and we all have good intentions to start the year eating healthier and losing weight, but sometimes we lack the motivation to succeed.

To help provide some motivation we thought it would be fun to start our own “biggest loser” contest and you are invited to participate.

We don’t care how you lose the weight as long as it’s healthy and safe. Some options include, Weight Watchers, Diet programs, Exercise and intuitive eating, Menu changes. Try and choose something that can be a life style change so you can stick with it after the challenge is over. We want to make this your last New Year Weight Loss Resolution. Choose your routine and we have found that if you write it down in a personal program you tend to stick with it.

Here are our rules:

1. We would like to start Monday January 5th, and end either March 5th or April 5th. If we are unable to rally enough people by Monday we will start Wednesday January 7th.

(We would appreciate input on which day would be better to start as well as if you would like to continue the challenge for 2 or 3 months. )

2. Whomever participates will weigh themselves in the morning of the start day. Privately record your starting weight.

We would also ask that you stick with the same scale to insure accurate results.

3. Each week we can report progress via email

(1 minus current weight divided by beginning weight).

4. At the end of the time period the winner(s) is whoever lost the largest % of their body starting weight.

We plan on running 2 contests at the same time, one as an individual competition and one as couples. This also brings up our incentive. There will be 2 pools of money: The couple’s pool and the single pool. This means in that you can enter as a single or as a couple or both if you would like.

If you enter both contests, you will have to pay into both pools.

The cost of entry will be as follows:

Single - $5

Couple- $10 (that’s $5 per. Person)

Single and Couple- $10 ($5 per pool)

We would like to collect the money as soon as possible so we can insure who is participating and the amount of the incentive. If you would rather join simply to lose weight and not participate in the incentive and the pool of money that is fine. Just let us know and you can still be a part of our weekly success updates.

This will all be on the honor system. You never have to share your starting or ending weight, just what % of your starting weight you have lost.
