4 Weeks Old

Man it's amazing how time can fly by! I can't believe Porter is 4 weeks old today. We marked the date with a Dr. apt this morning. Porter has been really congested with a little cough and I was getting worried, so we took a trip to the Doctors office. We weren't able to get into our pediatrician, so we saw an associate, and I am very thankful for the pediatrician we have! The Doctor was nice but we missed Dr. Visick. Porter checked out alright and just has a nasty cold. We should be past the worst of it so hopefully in the next few days he will start to feel better. I will be very grateful for a happier baby, right now he sleeps, eats and mostly cries because he just doesn't feel good and has a hard time breathing with all that mucus. We did weight him and he weighed in at 10 lbs. 5 oz but that was with a full diaper, so we reweighed with a clean diaper and he was 10 lbs. 3 oz!! He is a growing boy, with growing diapers :P

Aside from being sick, Porter is doing great. He is so strong it amazes me. He loves to look around and lift his head high. He thinks Daddy's hat is a fascinating thing to stare at. He's not to sure about his swing, but loves his bouncer. He still is a big fan of bath time, but doesn't like to be cold and naked (who can blame him). He still enjoys waking me up in the night to be fed, but sometimes sleeps for 4 hour blocks! He likes his feet rubbed and thinks our dog is a huge but interesting to watch monster, which is very true! Over all 4 weeks has flown by and we have loved every minute. We are so thankful to have Porter in our lives and we can't wait to share him with Family this Thanksgiving weekend, (even with me freaked out about all the potential illnesses) :-) We love you Porter!!This picture was actually taken today, 4weeks old!
