Kirsten and Ducks and National Lampoons Camping Vacation

We picked up my little sister Kirsten last Sunday. She came out to visit because my parents and Nicole and Larissa were gone this past week on the Stake Trek. We had a fun week, we feed a lot of ducks. She called it Duck week.We also went swimming and to a movie and painted our nails. Everything sisters like to do together. Thursday through Sunday she stayed with her cousins in Layton. She had a lot of fun, and came back exhausted as you can see in the bottom picture.

While she was gone James and I took my Granparents Camper and went camping. He wanted to go to a new area, in a new canyon we haven't been up before. Well we left really late and to make a long story short we didn't find a camp site until 1am and by that time we had been driving for 4 hours!! You know what its like looking for the perfect camp spot, until you realize your lost and can't turn around. We finally found a map and discovered we had gone completely through the Cache National Forest!!! It was terrible but what do you do. We woke up the next morning nice and early because of cows in our camp ground and our dog Diego went crazy. So we got about 4 hours of sleep. I got up and fixed us pancakes and while cooking Diego had wraped his chain around behind me and when some more cows showed up he took off after them and my poor ankles caught the full brunt of his chain. They were bruised pretty bad and had the skin torn off. Luckly I didn't fall like you see in the movies when someone gets wrapped up in a chain. The worst part is that they got really swollen. They are much better not but man it hurt! Well, we decided to drive somemore and to head back to Logan Canyon so we would know where we were. So we drove to the nearest town and headed for Bear Lake to get back to Loagn. We found another site and had a good day camping. Theres so much more to the story but I think we're going to save it to make the movie National Lampoons Camping Vacation. I think it will sell like crazy! :PThis was looking out at the top of a mountain. We got so high up I'm amazed we didn't die with that trailer on the back of James truck!! I guess thats one good thing about driving through the mountains at midnight, you can't see anything, good or bad. This is the camper and our happy camping spot we finally found. It was really pretty and had a little stream that ran through it. Heres Kirsten passed out at about 1pm monday. She was tired and so was Diego after our camping adventure.

On a side note when my Family got back from the Trek Yesterday they found their basement had flooded. They have been trying to salvage and clean up everything. Luckily my Dad was able to postpone his flight from today to Thursday, so he can stay and help with the clean up. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
